World River’s Day

In celebration of this year’s #WorldRiversDay, we highlight some of our work on two rivers along the Cameroon–Nigeria border, in line with this year’s theme: #SaveOurRivers #SaveOurFuture.

Conserving Odonates in the Obudu Mountains.

WorldWetlandsDay2026: Celebrating Wetlands and Traditional Knowledge

At Ecophilic Scientific Research and Innovations (ESRI), we recently held our quarterly in-house workshop with members of our team and volunteers.

The workshop provided an opportunity to reflect on our work, strengthen collaboration, and enhance our productivity and public engagement. A key part of the training was hands-on learning in the use of iNaturalist for biodiversity documentation

The Need to Designate More #RamsarSites in #Nigeria — A Call to Action

Over the past seven years, our team has had the privilege of exploring some of Nigeria’s most remote yet ecologically significant freshwater ecosystems. These include rare geomorphological and hydrological systems, as well as habitats supporting #vulne #endangered freshwater invertebrates, particularly damselflies, along Nigeria’s border with Cameroon.

World Biodiversity Day

Today, on #WorldBiodiversityDay, our team, Ecophilic Scientific Research and Innovations (ESRI), marked the occasion with a school outreach to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our environment and preserving biodiversity. 🌱
